Temporary uses and events often require planning permission.
We can advise on whether permission is indeed required and we can secure the necessary consent.
For the last few years we have been acting for Masterpiece London and the Royal Hospital Chelsea, obtaining planning permission for the construction of a 16,000 sq metre (172,000 sq ft) marquee each year, for a fine art, antiques and design fair, attracting 35,000 people over eight days. Over £1billion worth of beautiful objects are on display for sale, as well as temporary versions of famous London restaurants and bars – Harry’s Bar, Le Caprice, The Ivy and Mount Street Deli.
We have also obtained advertisement consent from the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea for banners around the Royal Hospital site during the fair.
As well as the above, we have secured planning permission for the use of the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea for the world’s premier show jumping event, the Global Champions Tour.
